SP - Loco #2472 Photo, SP 4-6-2 Loco #2472 at Sunnyvale, CA Order No. SP2472P Now a restoration project of the Golden Gate Railroad Museum, the engine is making its 1st run after 35 years over the track it operated on for 30 years. It is a cold, wet, day in Sunnyvale, California as long time Southern Pacific engineer Neil Vauden puts a newly restored #2472 through its paces. He is on his way to Sacramento, California this May, 1991 day, to participate in a rail fair. To quote Neil after ariving at Sacramento: "She's running kinda square! Gon'na have to get Mack Gaddis (former SP Chief Mechanical Engineer) up here to adjust the valve's."
