 This view of Southern Pacific 4-4-2 #3003 is believed
 to have been taken at the Oakland Engine Terminal late
 on a Sunday afternoon in the 1930's.  Train #243 (see
 number board) was the three hour Sunday-Only & U.S.
 Holidays train the"Governor" from Sacramento to Oakland
 with transfer to San Francisco via Ferry.

 A very nice 1904 Schnectedy built, A3 class, Southern
 Pacific 4-4-2 locomotive graces the San Jose Engine
 Terminal waiting to go into local passenger service,
 September 1, 1935.

 Southern Pacific Atlantic #3062 is seen stopped at
 Watsonville Junction, California in 1921 after just
 arriving on train #32.  Train #32, known among the
 railroad boys as the "Watsonville Passenger," left
 San Francisco at 6:00am and arrived at the Junction
 at 10:25am.  It returned the same day as #23. The
 #32 made local connections with trains going to
 Monterey, Santa Cruz and over the SP mountain branch
 to Los Gatos.
