Further, the company was operating four "coal" burning locomotives. All company owned freight cars (47) remain on line and are not interchangeable. What little passenger service the company operated was discontinued in 1928. As of January 1, 1941 the company reported having a 10.65 mile main line from Morristown to Essex Falls, New Jersey. Also reported was a 1.51 mile branch line to Malapardis, New Jersey. Yard tracks and sidings 1.25 miles. There also was a branch line of 0.23 miles to "mill". Officer list and board of Director list suggests the company was owned by the McEwan family. The company reported having three locomotives, four freight cars and three service cars. In 1978 the original company was consolidated to include the Randolph Line (former Lackawana branch) and the Rockaway and Bartley line (former Central of New Jersey branch). As of 1986 the company reported having four diesel locomotives, two Alco C424 units and two Alco C430 units. In 2005 the company also acquired the line from Brunswick to Rockland on the Maine Coast. Freight service insued. Shortly thereafter another company, the Maine and Eastern, began operation of passenger tourist trains over the line. That service continues to this day.
