Stoes The famous Milwaukee Railroad E6 15-set works the main with the a Hiawatha during the summer of 1946. The "Famous 15" was the first set of diesels purchased by the Milwaukee and their only EMD E6's. "(Location) The red and white poles on the left side of the photo, are what used to be a US Coast guard radio antenna site on the North side of Dundee Road, and West of the tracks. This would be a Southbound in the afternoon, on the 93mph curve, between Deerfield and Northbrook, Ill. Looking through my books, this is probably train No. 6, and would be the Morning Hiawatha from Minneapolis. It passed this spot at 2:15-2:35 in the afternoon. Perfect for the sun on these units. I grew up there, and spent alot of time along these tracks. Won't be anything as impressive as those Hiawathas though." ...Craig Hanson Shopping Cart 7" by 11", Price - $ 6.75 [Add To Cart] 11" by 14", Price - $10.00 [Add To Cart] --------------------
